d'meure 2008 l'avenir oublié
The wine lavenir oublié (the forgotten future) was born by accident.
It is made from the 2008 estate Chardonnay. As we do not filter or fine our wines, at bottling we had almost half a barrel on the lees too cloudy to bottle at that time. It was put aside and promptly forgotten. Four years later as we were preparing barrels for vintage, we found that the forgotten wine had formed a flor/veil in the style and taste of a Jura vin jaune. We were proud and pleased to bottle it in 2013 as a humble tribute to the great Jura oxidative wine tradition.
375ml, 12.8% ABV. No Added Sulphites.
